CRAEC holds adult ELL classes at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. The majority of our students come from East Africa (Somalia, Ethiopia). Volunteers assist teachers and students in the classroom in various ways. Common volunteer roles include working with students one-on-one and in small groups, role-playing conversations, answering questions, and helping the teacher present a lesson. Volunteers give our students the extra attention and practice they need to advance in their English acquisition.
